We are back!!

 
We are so happy to share that we are officially back in business here at Baum-kuchen!

Of course... things are still slightly chaotic between multiple laundries/day, feeding, soothing and unpredictable night shifts (all normal for parents with a newborn:)... but I feel that we have enough pockets of time to fulfill orders.

... and oh how much I missed my Baum-kuchen. It is indeed my other child.

Email correspondence, blogging and other shop operations will still be slower than it used to be but hopefully our daily routine will eventually evolve into a smoother pattern that will allow me to continue sharing inspiring artifacts, stories and visuals with you.

Thank you so much for sharing our journey... and for all the customers who have made PRE-ORDER from our shop while we were away... THANK YOU so much for your ongoing understanding and patience. 

Let the new Baum-kuchen adventure to begin!

last week...

The first sushi in last 9 months,
reading an inspiring book while Coco naps,
spending 98% of time at home... feeling like another version of staycation,
watching Coco getting chubbier and chubbier everyday,
adoring the girls adore each other...

I am lacking a major sleep hours, never seem to have any time to get anything done and sometime wish for even more stretch of patience in me... but most of the times... I still sort of feel together.

I love the link my Susan sent me. 20 Things Every Parent Should Hear. It made me feel bit more normal:)

My heart belongs to you...

Something Heide, my mother-in-law, told me today.
"As a mother..., your heart always belongs to your children... more than anything else in the world."

last 14 days...

last 14 days...

everyday has brought something new to welcome... and adjust to. The dynamic of the family has changed and so as our approach of how to deal with things.

Last 14 days has been truly memorable... then I am reminded that every 14 days... or better yet... every single day should be as memorable as the ones we have just had.

Let tomorrow and more days to come... be filled with love, compassion and abundant patience.

Welcoming the newest family member of Baum-kuchen!

I am so excited to share our happy news!
Our daughter Coco has joined us 10+ days ago. I could not have asked more from our birthing experience through c-section operation... Coco is growing healthy (we were so relieved when she passed the first critical days...) and I am recovering smoothly from the operation. I am looking forward to shareing our birth experience in some other post in the future.

I have been nurturing, meditating, catching up with sleep whenever I can, juggling between my two daughters who are both dear to my heart... and simply breathing life in.

LIFE Notebook I used to capture everything anything that went through my mind during our critical days, TN Charm turned into a bracelet which helped me to stay focused when things got little rougher, one of few Polaroid baby photos we took in last 10 days, Snake Year Birth Block by Stacy Wong and a name tag designed by our friend Christine!
