Looking back... on Remodelista Holiday Market

I hope you had a lovely weekend. I had a very full 2 days between Remodelista Holiday Market on Saturday and spending Sunday with Satchi and Coco... I came out feeling good; though exhausted. Feeling good because I felt present throughout the weekend even though there were some moments that felt overwhelming.

2 hours to unload and set up the booth in the morning of the market always seems like a plenty of time... but we barely managed to get everything done in time before first customer approached us at10am sharp. The table we were assigned had a slightly different proportion from what we are used to (it was shorter but deeper) so it took me a while to figure out the best configuration to place all the items together. Maybe next pop-up market, I will take less items but display better with more samples showing usage and wearing in. Because we love seeing the customers eyes widen when they see before and after examples in person.

It was one long day started at 7am and ended around 7pm... mostly on our feet. In mid-day, the market got so crowded that it felt like people couldn't move from one side of the booth to the other. Highlight was seeing some of our online and repeat customers in person.  Even though it was a busy day, I felt connected and grounded to the community we are sharing, building and being inspired by. Thanks Nerine for keeping up with the day and thank you Remodelista and Big Daddy's Antiques for hosting the event.

p.s. I personally really wanted to get a scarf from Block Shop. Amazing story... and a beautiful product.
