Beach days on Helgoland, Germany

I have a pretty good chunk of photos from Germany that I have not gotten through yet... Today I found one hour of coffee shop time between my doctor's appointment and little Roo's pick-up time... so I figured I would finally go through and share some!

While we were staying in Germany, we spent five days on the island of Helgland where FB's grandmother used to live. We were staying in Yakushima (where my grandfather used to live) earlier this year so it was really awesome to be able to visit both islands in one year!

Helgoland is a tiny little island in the middle of North Sea where its water and air is known to have an amazing healing power... It has a main island then another island called "dune" that is accessible by ferry. Imagine an island made of a beautiful white sand... yeah. That's Dune. We took ferry almost everyday to spend a day on the beach at Dune, see airplanes at the tiniest airport (with some Currywurst food) and find beach treasures.

Oh these were amazingly beautiful days...

more photos to come from Helgoland soon...
