The week was marked with my 8 week post surgery... which meant that I was officially off the hook from doctor's recommendation to take things easy. Probably the biggest highlight was my doctor saying to me, "now you can pick up your older daughter". I told the news to Roo when we all got home the night of my doctor's appointment and her eyes got so wide and round with excitement. I knew she had been waiting for this news for weeks... and I missed holding her so much too.
This week was also the first time that things felt settled. Coco started to sleep few hours at a time during the day (and often at night) and that made a huge difference to our daily routine. It's a reminder that nothing is constant with parenting. Something is always evolving...
