"Tools" is a lifestyle book which archives today's products from all over the world in a beautifully formatted visual catalog. Its subtitle explains it all - "Real Stuff for Future Classics".
Having a product design and design research background, I very much appreciate the exquisite collection of beautiful yet very functional designs... and their 4 criteria of product selection (I listed them on our shop page) almost mirrors what we consider "good design" at our Baum-Kuchen shop!
I would love to share a little insert from the book's introduction.

The book feels little bit like a bible for a design/product geek like me:)
Its catalog style format totally make me think of the listed products as "artifacts" of our time... and appreciate it more objectively as if I were a future archeologist digging up what people lived with in the year of 2012. The book is super easy to browse through... and when you find something you like, you can dig deeper to get additional information.
