Happy May and we're back to our home sweet home in LA!
I have many photos and stories to share from our trip and it can be little bit overwhelming... so I figured that I will start with this photo taken by our new Time Lapse PlantCam during our daily morning trip to our favorite beach... me and roo taking the joy of life all in...
In many ways this trip was very special. We were absolutely in love with our house, had a nice daily routine, cooked (and ate) fabulous food... and most importantly I chose to completely stay disconnected from all digital communication channels. It was such a liberating experience for me. With bits and pieces of time found between kids' nap and sipping on coconut water, I played with water color paint, wrote postcards, took photographs and simply breathed fresh island air in my lungs.
I loved it...
I felt like I was in the driver's seat of my life not my laptop nor my iPhone.
I always reflect on my learning outcomes when we travel. (definitely a trait of a design researcher... it's about "what does it mean?"after all investigation is completed.)
This trip was definitely about learning how to disconnect in order to find more moments in my life.
